WELCOME TO TERM 4

Our Term 4 value is Responsibility
Being responsible means that others can depend on you.
When you are responsible, you keep your agreements.
Responsibility is the ability to respond ably.  It is a sign of growing up.

Greetings, Kia ora, Namaste, Ni Hao, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Kia orana, Ni sa bula vinaka, Salaam

Term 4 is a busy and exciting term with lots of learning and events.

We are researching festivals and celebrations for our topic. Soon we will be making a craft item to sell at the PCS Christmas Market.

Athletics Day last week was a huge success with some fabulous results for our class.

Maths ICAS Results:  We are really happy to congratulate these room 16 students for their achievement:

Wednesday Swimming at Papatoetoe Centennial Pools!

Here is room 16 learning more water safety & improving our swimming skills.

Some of us learnt how to put our faces under the water & others were blowing bubbles.

One group turned into starfish on their backs!

If we can float on our back - that means we can save our life if we get into difficulty in deep water.

So much fun!

We love swimming!

Hope you enjoy all the photos!

More photos of room 16 learning how to swim!

This is a very important skill to have in New Zealand. We are never far away from water and need to have basic water safety knowledge.

Some students can already swim - so they will be working on getting faster and swimming further.

LIBRARY ROADSHOW - YEARS 3 & 4

Today we were lucky enough to have the Library Roadshow come to us at PCS.

We learnt how to join the public library & how to get our own library card.

One of the stories we listened to was "SAUSAGES".
